General
The accounting firm is a boutique firm with a compact number of professionals each working within a specific department within the firm. The package offered to our employees consists of competitive wages commiserate with the level of duties performed by the professional and commiserate with experience, together with other advantages such as flexible hours of work with an average working week of 40 hours, flexible leave availability and an informal working environment. The partners are in constant contact with their team members and are always available to give their hands-on support.
Talent
The accounting firm is expanding steadily, and the head-count is constantly on the increase. We envisage that we will be interested in recruiting at all levels within the firm for the foreseeable future, even if a specific post is not advertised, due to the expansion on all fronts of the main service offerings of the firm, namely accounting, auditing, taxation and advisory. We therefore invite you to send us your cv on office@stevengalea.com indicating your qualifications, experience and area within the firm in which you would be interested in working. We will then invite you for an interview and discuss the employment opportunities.
Students
A significant amount of the current staff members joined the firm as students, who later graduated and who have progressed within the firm and achieved their current position based on qualifications and experience. We have a system of mentoring within the firm, by which the students work within a number of different sections within the firm during their study periods, thereby enabling them to achieve on-the-job experience of what they are actually studying. This work experience makes the study topics easier to understand. The firm encourages both ACCA students and University students to contact it with a view to discussing a flexible work/study relationship. With ACCA students the working day would typically end at 4pm, thereby allowing sufficient time for the student to carry out their studies in later afternoon/early evening in addition to generous examination allowances and financing of course/examinations, while with University students the work period would consist of full-time work during the summer months and part-time work during the remainder of the year, in accordance with the study timetable and commitments.
